Dos Pueblos flag football punched its ticket to the CIF-SS D1 Semifinals with a 12-6 quarterfinal win over Edison on Monday in Huntington Beach.
The Chargers will now host No. 1-seeded JSerra in the semifinals on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Scott O'Leary Stadium.
It was a defensive battle for most of Monday's matchup, as the two teams were tied at 0-0 heading into halftime. Dos Pueblos' Brooklyn Hedricks and Ruby Streatfeild each recorded first-half interceptions.
Edison got on the board first with a touchdown in the third quarter, but Dos Pueblos quickly responded with a 50-yard touchdown catch and run from Kacey Hurley to Streatfeild to tie things up at 6-6.
After a defensive stop by Dos Pueblos, the offense got right back to work as Hurley connected with Taylor Grant for a touchdown and a 12-6 fourth-quarter lead.
Edison had a chance to answer with under two minutes left, but Hedricks leapt in front of a pass and hauled in her second interception of the night.
The Dos Pueblos offense then ran out the clock to clinch a spot in the CIF-SS Div. 1 semifinals.
