LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Texas Tech softball kept its momentum going as it took down Mississippi State, 10-1, in a run-rule win in the sixth inning.
NiJaree Canady improved to 27-5 on the year as she got the nod in the circle to start the game.
The Red Raiders notched 14 hits on the day with three home runs by Canady, Demi Elder and a walk-off dinger by Lauren Allred.
Allred's walk-off home run advances Texas Tech into the regional final.
Brown and Washington face off in an elimination game with the winner taking on Mississippi State later on Saturday.
The winner of that game goes on to face Texas Tech on Sunday. The Red Raiders, with a win, advance to the Super Regionals. A loss doesn't end the season for Texas Tech as double elimination applies.
