A personal trainer from Colliers Wood is up for eviction from the Big Brother house.
Following Celebrity Big Brother's controversial run earlier this year, which saw Mickey Rourke removed and a romance between Chris Hughes and Jojo Siwa, the reality TV show returned on Sunday (September 28).
One of the contestants to enter the house was 25-year-old Zelah Glasson, who has shed light on their life, fitness journey, and experiences as a trans person in the public eye.
Zelah was nominated for eviction by four new housemates - Cameron, Feyisola, George, and Richard - and will face the live eviction tomorrow (October 3).
Zelah's mum, secondary school teacher Maya Glasson, who will appear on Late and Live, told Your Local Guardian: "Obviously, I would say that he's a great human being, but I'm biased.
"What you see in the house really shows the hidden depths of his character and his personality."
Zelah has opened up about his gender identity to a few housemates and said he intends to reveal it slowly to the rest of the house.
Maya said: "He's not just a great representation for the trans community; he represents qualities that transcend gender.
"Sometimes those who shout loudest aren't necessarily the ones that are most worthy of being heard, and he's showing that in such a thoughtful way."
Richard tried to change the four new housemates' nomination of Zelah yesterday (October 1), but Big Brother refused.
The housemates went on to nominate Bromley Pizza Hut manager and Dua Lipa fan Gani.
Viewers can now vote to save one of the housemates, and the contestant with the fewest votes will be kicked out of the Big Brother House.
Maya added: "I think a vote for Zelah is a vote for those conversations.
"He's not loud or flashy, but if you look at some of the footage, you can see that gold coming through.
"He showed people that beneath the quiet surface, there are hidden depths.
"A vote for Zelah is a vote for a world where people willing to put themselves out there and facilitate important conversations are recognised and applauded."
