Popular Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has changed the venue where she'd be cooking the largest pot of jollof rice.

She shared why she decided to change the venue, highlighting concerns of safety and space.

In a video on her TikTok page @hildabaci, the popular chef announced the new venue for the world jollof rice festival.

The event was earlier scheduled to hold at Muri Okunola Park would now hold at Eko Hotel and Suites.

She stated that over 20,000 people registered to attend the event and the previous venue could hold only 3,500 people.

This led her to decide to change the venue to a bigger space at Eko Hotel and Suites.

She captioned the video:

"The love has been overwhelming. So many of you registered to be part of this historic moment, and our first venue couldn't contain the energy! We're moving to a bigger space so EVERYONE can experience this celebration with me.

"And if you can't be there in person, don't worry you can join us virtually on all our social media platforms. Same dream, bigger stage let's make history together."

Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci has unveiled her plan to cook the largest pot of Jollof rice in the world.

During her announcement, she said the historic event was in collaboration with a seasoning giant brand, Gino.

In preparation for the event, Hilda Baci and her crew test-ran the pot she was going to use for her latest kitchen quest.
