Sophie Habboo shares £25 needle-free lip plumping trick for a fuller pout

Best mates Sophie Habboo and Melissa Tattam spill all the tea on their hit podcast Wednesdays, from the latest updates on Sophie's pregnancy to everyday dilemmas and must-have discoveries, and on a recent episode Sophie revealed a new beauty product she's been obsessing over: a lip plumping formula that she claims makes you look like you've had lip fillers, or as she puts it, "a lip job".

After previously revealing her nose contouring hack, Sophie introduces the Dr. Dennis Gross DermInfusions Plump + Repair Lip Treatment, a nourishing lip serum packed with hyaluronic acid and peptides that's clinically proven to deliver instantly fuller-looking lips.

Whilst a full-size tube will set you back £46 (Melissa later mentions that she reckons the results justify the price), you can also snap up a mini 4ml version for £25 if you fancy giving it a go for less.

Showing how it works, Sophie explains, "You put this bad boy on and then it's going to start tingling, and you're going to see the difference."

"It makes them look quite red but I like to then take it off," she continues. "I actually think it makes them look a bit OTT, but I think later on in the day they look good. It plumps them, it feels like they've injected water into my lips - it's really quite something", reports the Mirror.

Since expectant mums shouldn't undergo any injectable cosmetic procedures whilst pregnant, this clever lip product could offer a way of achieving a fuller pout without requiring needles - and Space NK customers are raving about it too: "Think this is my third purchase of this, very plumping I use it everyday and feel quite proud at 53 I have plump lips without any fillers," one customer wrote on the website. "Nice and moisturising too."

"Wowzers! This feels slightly weird after you put it on but woah does it do something to your lips!" another comment reads. "Mine changed colour to a healthy natural colour and plumped up a lot. I will see how they are tomorrow and check everything okay as I'm very sensitive but I think I would consider getting the bigger ones."

"I've been wearing this lip treatment for a couple of months now. I think it has an immediate effect on the lips: they look healthier, richer and definitely fuller when you wear it," a third review reads. "It does feel prickly (almost sting) for a couple of seconds when you first apply it so that's something to bear in mind. But the effects are worth it, I feel."

Regarding the tingling sensation, this is clearly something that not all shoppers enjoy ("This product is a lot more hot and spicy than others in this category so if you don't like the hot tingle effect this would not be for you," noted one reviewer), so if you have particularly delicate lips or aren't fond of this feeling, you might prefer to opt for a more conventional lip gloss for a temporary boost - consider Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Big Lip Plumpgasm, £27, or Fenty Beauty Lip Gloss Bomb, currently £13.30.
