Salmon Arm Silverbacks on the road for remainder of October - Salmon Arm Observer

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks racked up more kilometres but not another win over the weekend with a game in West Kelowna.

Following their 3-1 overtime loss to the Vernon Vipers on Oct. 17 at Rogers Rink - the Silverbacks' only home game of October 2025 - the Salmon Arm squad hit the road once more for an Oct. 18 contest versus the West Kelowna Warriors.

First frame saw the home team slip the puck past Daniel Dirracolo twice in what would be a busy game for the Silverbacks' netminder.

The deficit-driven Silverbacks held their own in the second frame, with Luke Sinclair lighting up the board with a goal at the 12-minute mark, assisted by Maddux Martin and John Lumsden.

The Warriors quickly rebounded in the third frame, adding two goals in the first half. At 13:15, Salmon Arm's Anthony Cardilli was able to capitalize on a tripping call for the Warriors, putting the puck in the net with an assist by Luke Sinclair.

Last word went to the Warriors, though, with an empty-netter scored at 18:23 by Noah Garthe, ending the game 5-2.

Dirracolo stopped 31 shots on net while the Warriors' Bor Glavič blocked 23.

Next up for Salmon Arm is an Oct. 24 stop in Cranbrook to play the Bucks. The following night, the team will be at the Centennial Regional Arena in Brooks, Alta. to play the Bandits.
