Alix Earle has reacted to Cheryl Burke's critique of her dance moves on "Dancing With the Stars." In last week's Halloween episode of the show, Earle performed on Billie Eilish's "Bury a Friend" with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
Their dance act received 9 points from the guest judge for the week, Cheryl Burke. However, this did not sit well with Earle's stepmother, Ashley Dupre, who later shared a video on her TikTok account. She made an insensitive comment about Burke and said:
"Oh, go take more Ozempic!"
Now, days later, after the controversy, Burke reacted to her appearance on DWTS and shared her opinion of her judgment on the show. She shared a TikTok video on Thursday in which she said:
"My goal was just to be able to give any helpful notes if needed, because that's all I can really do. It's about progression. It's not about perfection, and it's definitely about each couple's personal journey. How can anyone grow or improve if they feel they don't get enough constructive criticism?"
Alix Earle reacted to Burke's video in the comments section. She said that she appreciated the "critique and feedback."
"I really appreciated your critiques and feedback, so helpful for me as someone in the competition 💕 thank you," Earle wrote.
Alix Earle, who is dating Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios, performed a tango dance in the Halloween week of DWTS. She offered a glimpse of her performance in a post on her Instagram account last week.

For her dance performance, Earle had received perfect 10s from other judges, including Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli. Only Burke had given her a nine.
Alix Earle's stepmother, Ashley Dupre, later apologized to Cheryl Burke for her body-shaming comment about her. Two days after sharing the video in which she was critical of Burke, Dupre shared another video on social media and publicly apologized for her remark.
"I just wanted to jump on here and apologize for making comments that were insensitive in the heat of the competition," Dupre said (via People magazine). "I always try to pick others up. If you follow me, you know that about me, I hope, and that's how we raise our children. I'm sorry that my actions did not reflect that.
Alix Earle also caught attention outside the show. For Halloween, she dressed up as Lady Gaga in the singer's popular look from the "Paparazzi" song. Berrios' girlfriend also danced to the song and shared a glimpse on her TikTok account. Gaga reacted to it.
