DESTIN, Fla. (WALA) - The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office said they are investigating a double drowning at a beach in Destin.

Officials said they responded to a beach near 1040 U.S. 98 after a woman was found unresponsive in the water.

Deputies performed CPR but it was not successful.

Authorities said a man believed to be her husband was located and recovered from the water.

Deputies said they preformed CPR and transported him to the Coast Guard Station, but he did not survive.
