WASHINGTON (TNND) -- Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal sex trafficking trial resumed Tuesday in New York City. The music mogul's former assistant took the stand, sharing explosive testimony about threats, violence, and an ongoing power struggle.

Capricorn Clark started her testimony, detailing an incident from 2004, when Combs brought up her former employment with Death Row Records, founded by his rival Suge Knight. "He told me that he didn't know that I had anything to do with Suge Knight and if anything happened, he would have to kill me," Clark said.

I think this was very powerful testimony by an assistant to Combs. There was a long history there. She had lots of involvement. She had lots of information," said Cheryl Bader, an associate professor at the Fordham University School of Law.

Clark testified she was held against her will for days after jewelry went missing. Also, how Combs showed up at her home with a gun in 2011, after learning his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, was dating rapper Kid Cudi.

"Get dressed, we're going to go kill him," said Clark.

During cross-examination, the defense suggested that Clark voluntarily went to the home with Combs, which Clark denied. Clark also broke down while looking at emails, where she pleaded for Combs' forgiveness after being let go in 2012. She said she was unable to find work prior to being rehired in 2016.

"Whether they can show this was a distinct enterprise as opposed to just this nasty villain who is committing multiple crimes," said Bader.

On Wednesday, prosecutors plan to call four witnesses to the stand. Including members of the Los Angeles Police and Fire Departments, and a woman named "Mia."
