Jessica Simpson Says Her 3 Kids May See Her Perform on Stage for the First Time Soon, Saying They're 'Very Proud' of Her Music

Jessica Simpson's kids may get the opportunity to see her perform soon.

During her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the actress and singer, 45, revealed that while her children may not have seen her perform on stage yet, they may have a chance to in the near future. Simpson, who is a mother to son Ace, 12, and daughters Birdie, 6, and Maxwell, 13, shared with Jennifer Hudson that her children are "very proud" of her music career.

"They've never seen me perform," she told Hudson, 44. "I really wanted to be a mom. I wanted to focus on the Jessica Simpson collection and that really was connected to my lifestyle."

"The kids are very proud of me. They've supported me since I started going out to Nashville," she said. "They knew I was following my dreams and they saw how happy like it made me and how much peace it gave me."

The proud mom went on to hint when exactly her children may see her grace the stage.

"The kids have waited to see me on stage and so I don't know which show it will be," she began. "I have an upcoming show in Vegas that I'm really excited about. That's Nov. 8 at Planet Hollywood. I'm very excited about that one, so maybe my kids can come to that one."

Simpson, who shares her children with her estranged husband Eric Johnson, is always careful to appreciates the little moments. In May, she celebrated Mother's Day by sharing highlights from a trip to Paris to celebrate Maxwell's 13th birthday.

In a post on Instagram, she revealed that her mom, Tina Simpson, surprised the duo with the girls' getaway to the French capital. "My oldest, Maxwell, turned 13 in Paris on May 1st!!!" she wrote, adding, "My Mom surprised us with the most beautiful celebration of Parisian life and love. 3 generations 3 connected hearts 3 spirit filled souls 3 women who smile, laugh and shine brighter through it all."

"It is official...I AM THE MOTHER OF A TEENAGER and I LOVE IT," she gushed.

The singer appeared on Today with Jenna & Friends in July and spoke about moving to Nashville to make new music, which appears on the EPs Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1 and Nashville Canyon, Pt. 2. Simpson shared what she learned about herself and her family as she made the record.

"I went out to Nashville because I just felt like that was the place where songwriters -- they're not competitive and they allow you to be yourself," the mom of three began. "Nothing you say is judged and I needed clarity. Like, emotional clarity in general."

"So I thought I was going to be doing this inspirational type of record, but it ended up leaning more towards how do I get through this moment, because my whole life completely changed while making this record," she continued.

"And it became something I never would have expected, but there is blessings in the pain. You can find beauty in the pain," said Simpson. "I want my daughters and my son to know that, no matter what we go through in life, nothing can take us down. As long as we are who we are and we know our purpose and we are guided by that."
