The draw for the UEFA Europa League league phase takes place today (Friday, August 29).
A day after the Champions League first-phase schedule was laid out, teams in Europe's secondary competition will discover their opponents across the first eight matchdays.
Last season's finalists might not be involved (Tottenham are in the Champions League, and Manchester United did not qualify for Europe), but there are plenty of major clubs taking part. Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are the Premier League's representatives, while Rangers, Celtic, Lyon, Roma, and Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce are all involved.
The Sporting News will compile the league-phase draw below once it is completed.
