A set of Lancashire cottages has been named one of the best UK destinations to visit in autumn.
Patty's Barn was ranked among the 30 greatest autumn getaways in Britain according to the Times.
Located on the salt marshes near Cockersand Abbey, in Forton, near Lancaster, it was praised for its foraging mornings and fire-cooked lunches.

Travel writer, Sean Newsom said: "Never mind that Moor Hall, the gastronomic restaurant in Aughton, won its third Michelin star in February. That shouldn't distract you from the rest of Lancashire's mushrooming food scene.
"For a taste of it, check into one of the self-catering cottages at Patty's Barn, a cool collection, also with A-framed cabins, on the wild salt marshes near Cockersand Abbey over the weekend of October 25-26.
"Then you can join Land + Sea Lancaster's seasonal foraging morning and fire-cooked lunch on the Saturday.
"Later head inland for some highly rated pub suppers -- at the Cartford Inn at Larbreck, perhaps or the Three Fishes at Mitton."
Patty's Barn is a collection of ten self-catering cottages and two A-framed cabins. Yoga, hot tubs and a nature trail are all part of the experience.
For a three-night stay at the property, the price starts at £240 for self-catering accommodation for two people.
The Fylde hotel was the only Lancastrian destination in the list, which featured country house stays, traditional inns and cosy cottages from the Cotswolds to the Highlands.

Visit Lancashire's website says: "Patty's Barn is a collection of restored self-catering cottages finished to the highest standards. The perfect location for some peace and quiet, or to spend a fun weekend with a group of friends or have a family celebration.
"These charming barn conversions are all self-contained stone cottages full of character and original features.
"The kitchens are fully equipped if you fancy cooking with some of the local delicacies; Morecambe Bay potted shrimps, or a tasty Lancashire Hot Pot."
Elsewhere in the North West, including Hassness House, in Buttermere, Cumbria, which was praised for its walker-friendly base and its guided walks around the Lake District.
