Four-star wide receiver Messiah Hampton, from Rochester, New York, is narrowing down his recruitment. Ranked as the nation's No. 100 overall prospect, the No. 11 wide receiver, and the top pass-catcher in the Northeast, Hampton announced his top seven schools and set a commitment date of Sunday, June 13.
The elite New York talent is now considering Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, and Syracuse. Over his past two seasons, Hampton has demonstrated his prolific receiving ability, logging 90 receptions for 1,366 yards and 21 touchdowns.
James Coley has been on a terrific run as a recruiter since he has been hired back at Georgia with his first recruiting class bringing in the program's first five-star receiver (Talyn Taylor) since 2019. Now in this years recruiting class he has secured commitments from two wide receivers with four-star Vance Spafford leading the charge.
Georgia is expected to be a top destination for elite receiver recruits especially with five-star quarterback Jared Curtis already committed to UGA. Georgia's winning culture will be part of the Bulldogs' recruiting pitch for Hampton before his commitment.
