A Redditor went to see their friend's cat, unprepared for their life of luxury.

Redditor u/TheMainElementTifus shared an image of their friend's tortoiseshell cat relaxing on her very own mini couch in her own dedicated corner, complete with a mini rug, a box of squishies and framed portraits. The post garnered 66,000 upvotes in the subreddit r/cats.

"I visited my friends who own a cat and she might be the most spoiled cat I've seen in my life and I love her," she wrote.

"This isn't even her bed, she just keeps it next to her desk when she's working," the poster added.

The image shows the black-and-orange cat snuggled in her own mini "home," fitted with a perfectly sized couch, a Saturn-themed rug and some adorable soft toys.

Cat sofas may seem like a novelty, according to e-commerce website Mewoofun, but they offer several benefits: including a soft and comfortable place for cats to rest and nap.

The padded cushions and plush upholstery create a cozy environment that cats can curl up on and feel secure. They also act as elevated observation points (which many cats enjoy for a sense of control) and allow for scent-marking and territorial comfort, all packaged in designs that blend into home décor.

Building a cozy prescribed spot for your cat is possible. According to a blog on YourCatBackpack, cats can be lured in with catnip or treats. They also suggest increasing the bed's appeal by making other napping spots less comfortable.
