Nagpur, Oct 26 (UNI) To cater to the festive rush during Diwali and Chhath Puja, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of 12,011 special trains across the country.

According to a press release, the initiative aims to ensure smooth and comfortable travel for passengers heading to various destinations during the festive season.

Under this nationwide plan, the Central Railway will operate 23 special trains on October 27, including 14 services via the Bhusaval division.

Key routes covered include Nagpur-Pune, Pune-Nagpur, and Nagpur-Hadapsar, providing additional capacity for the high-demand corridor.

According to Central Railway officials, the following major services have been scheduled: Train No. 01409 (Pune-Nagpur Special): Departs Pune at 20:30 hrs, halting at Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Pachora, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon, and Wardha. The rake will consist of one AC 2-tier, 11 sleeper coaches, seven second-class non-AC, and two general coaches with brake vans.

Train No. 01402 (Nagpur-Pune Special): Departs Nagpur at 16:10 hrs, halting at Wardha, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Murtizapur, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Pachora, Chalisgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahilyanagar, and Daund Chord Line. Composition: one AC 2-tier, one AC 3-tier, 13 sleeper coaches, four second-class non-AC, and two general coaches with brake vans.

Train No. 01201 (Nagpur-Hadapsar Special): Departs Nagpur at 19:40 hrs, halting at Wardha, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahilyanagar, Daund Chord Line, and Uruli. The rake includes four AC 3-tier, six sleeper, and six second-class non-AC coaches.

The Central Railway has appealed to passengers to confirm timings and seat availability through official railway channels before travel, the release added.
