Lana Del Rey seems to be fully settled into her new life in the South with husband Jeremy Defrene.
The duo tied the knot in September last year, a wedding that took fans by surprise, as they had only debuted their romance the previous month.
Now, Lana Del Rey has shared a glimpse into her new life, sharing a smiling picture of herself on a relaxed drive through Louisiana's backroads and topping it off with a casual bathroom selfie.
After getting married to gator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene in a surprise wedding, Lana Del Rey has given her fans a glimpse into her new life.
On Sunday, she shared a clip on her Instagram page, seemingly driving somewhere along the Louisiana back roads.
In the clip, Del Rey could also be seen smiling at the camera and singing while Addison Rae's track Diet Pepsi played in the background. She also seemed to have her left leg raised to rest on the door of the car.
In another post, Lana struck a playful pose in front of a bathroom mirror as she snapped a selfie. She also kept it effortlessly casual in a white round-neck top with delicate lace trim, paired with mini denim shorts with loose hems.
The singer further accessorized with an array of jewelry, including hoop earrings, a mix of beaded and metal bangles, and what appeared to be her wedding ring. In addition, Del Rey wore a necklace featuring a pendant shaped like her initial.
Netizens were seemingly surprised by Lana Del Rey's post, with many expressing their thoughts about the singer's look.
"She's the most famous regular-looking person ever lol," a fan wrote, while another commented, "I can't tell if she's in her thirties or sixties."
"No offense, but she looks like she just had the worst diarrhea of her life in the bathroom stall next to the mirror," a third user said.
Another person wrote, "Why does she look 50? She's been forgetting to apply sunscreen out at the alligator farm."
There were also several comments from some individuals claiming that it was Caitlyn Jenner in the selfie, not Del Rey.
"Don't cancel me for this. But I low-key thought this was Caitlyn Jenner," one person said about the singer, while another noted, "I kid you not, I thought this was Caitlyn Jenner."
Last September, Del Rey walked down the aisle with Dufrene by the water in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, the same bayou where Dufrene runs his renowned swamp boat tours.
The ceremony marked the singer's first attempt at marriage, while it was the second time Dufrene was getting married.
The duo first met in March 2019 when Del Rey was in Louisiana to perform at the BUKU Music + Art Project. When she returned in May 2024 to perform at the Hangout Fest, they struck a connection that quickly blossomed into a relationship.
"When Lana revisited the area in May to perform at Hangout Fest, they were both single and they reconnected," a source told the Daily Mail.
They added, "He saw his golden opportunity and asked her out, and they have been together since. She loves older men."
In April 2025, Del Rey debuted a new song, titled "Stars Fell on Alabama," during her performance at Stagecoach. The song was dedicated to the singer's husband, but, more interestingly, had very curious lyrics.
"Husband of mine / Don't let them put all this paper between us," she sang. "What's yours is mine / What's mine is between you, me, and Jesus / I've got nothing to lose except you and maybe my mind."
Unsurprisingly, the lyrics sparked fears among Del Rey diehards, who felt they implied that the singer did not sign a prenup when she married Dufrene, per the Daily Mail.
A fan even commented, "Oh no, he's going to take her hard-earned money," seemingly hinting that a divorce would lead to Del Rey losing much of the millions she has earned from singing.
According to the Daily Mail, the "Say Yes To Heaven" singer initially kept her life shrouded in mystery with Dufrene before they got married.
An insider has disclosed that she found it "refreshing" that he had "no idea" who she was and wasn't in any rush to reveal herself.
"They've known each other for years, but only started dating a few months ago," the source told the news outlet. "Lana first met Justin in 2019, and they kept in touch."
"He had no idea who she was at the time, which was refreshing to her, and she didn't explain immediately," they continued. "She wanted to go on a boat tour because it's a big thing in Louisiana, but she never expected to fall for a gator boat captain."
