A stretch of Highway 5 has reopened following a multiple-alarm fire Thursday morning.

Highway 5 was closed between Ofield Road North and Sydenham Road for a structure fire, Ontario Provincial Police said on social media.

The fire began around 7 a.m. and the road was reopened shortly after 11 a.m.

Hamilton Fire Department is expected to provide an update.
