College Station boys take two at tournament. ROYAL -- The College Station boys basketball team took a pair of games at the Royal tournament on Thursday.
The Cougars grabbed a 56-31 win over Dayton in the first game. James Moore lead the way with 14 points, to go with five rebounds and two assists. David Tousaaint pitched in eight points, to go with eight rebounds and three blocks.
College Station (6-5) in the second game beat Cy Lakes JV, 74-54, where Xavier Vela filled up the stat sheet with 22 points and seven rebounds. Moore finished with 16 points and six assists, while Cameron newton had 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
The Cougars have won four of their last five games and hope to extend the run at 1:30 p.m. Friday to take on the host, Royal.
Rudder downs Lake Belton. ROBINSON -- The Rudder boys basketball team began the Waco Robinson tournament with a 52-46 over Lake Belton on Thursday.

The Rangers got 14 points from Jaquise Martin and 11 from Kayden Holmes and Isiaih Davis. Randon Cooks pitched in eight, while Brandon Cooks had five Rodrigo Salazar Gold finished with three.
Rudder (8-4) will begin the second day of tournament play at 9 a.m. Friday against Sulphur Springs. The Rangers will play again with time and opponent TBD.
Rockdale beats Bruceville-Eddy. ROCKDALE -- The Rockdale boys basketball team put together a stifling defensive effort to down Bruceville-Eddy, 50-22 on Thursday.
The Tigers got a team-high 11 points from Alex Cooper, to go with three rebounds and three steals.
Josiah Smith finished with eight points and 10 rebounds, while De'andre Stephens pitched in six points, seven rebounds, three assists and five steals.
Snook splits Thursday tournament games. SNOOK -- The Snook boys basketball team split a pair, beating Dime Box, 64-27, and falling to Eastern Buckets, 42-40 at the Snook tournament on Thursday.
In the Snook win, Max Carter finished with 14 points. Jeremiah Powell also finished in double-figures with 12 points.
In the loss to to Eastern Buckets, Carter dropped 17 more, while Bud Moore finished with 10 points.
Snook (7-5) will continue tournament play at 8 a.m. Friday against Round Top Carmine.
