A major mishap was narrowly averted in Farrukhabad when a private aircraft went off course during takeoff. The incident occurred at the Khimsepur industrial area, where a beer factory is under construction. Ajay Arora, Deputy Managing Director of the factory, had arrived by a chartered aircraft and was set to return to Agra on Thursday at around 10:30 AM.
As the 2+6 seater aircraft began to pick up speed on the runway, it suddenly lost control and veered off the strip. Before pilots Captain Naseeb Baman and Captain Prateek Fernandes could bring the aircraft to a halt, it had reached dangerously close to the boundary wall of the airstrip. The jet was originally scheduled to fly to Bhopal.

Fortunately, the aircraft did not collide with the boundary wall, which could have led to a serious accident. Onboard the private aircraft were MD Ajay Arora, SBI Head Sumit Sharma, DPO Rakesh Tikku, and the two pilots. No injuries have been reported, and all passengers are safe.
According to Hiralal, an aviation department employee overseeing the airstrip, the aircraft became uncontrollable just as it began to roll. Preliminary reports suggest that low air pressure in the right landing gear tire may have caused the issue.
Upon receiving information about the incident, SDM Sadar Rajnikant Pandey, CO Ajay Verma, and Mohammadabad Police, along with other administrative officials, rushed to the spot. A fire engine was also dispatched as a precautionary measure.
Authorities have ordered an investigation into the cause of the incident.
