Shutting their eyes and their ears reminds me of the three monkeys. (See no evil, etc.) We now have the 4th monkey, which envelops these all into one. (if the shoe fits ... .)

Anyone who continues to wave their flags in this day and age needs to have their head examined. With the ongoing atrocities in Gaza and Ukraine, backed by the good old USA, these wars continue to sicken me, as part of me wants to pick up a weapon and defend the Palestinians. I'd say I would last a week if that, but then "what would Jesus do?"
