Mabel A. (Hoffmann) Nonn, 94, formerly of Lower Burrell, Pa., passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, in Presbyterian Senior Care, Oakmont, Pa. She was born in Black Earth, Wis., Aug. 14, 1930, to the late Albert and Edna (Kahl) Hoffmann, and had lived in Lower Burrell since 1968. Mrs. Nonn was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell. Prior to her retirement, she worked at J.C. Penney Co. in Lower Burrell. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband and family. She and her husband enjoyed the winter months in Texas. Mabel loved feeding the birds and taking care of her flowers.
She is survived by her three children, Steve (Olga) Nonn of Upper Burrell, Patty (Andy) Sirota, of Tarentum and Jean (Jeff) Walker, of Sarver; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Brunner of Wisconsin and Phyllis Reindl of Missouri; sister-in-law, Pat Mitchell Nonn, of Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, of 61 years, who passed away in 2013.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at The Willows and Bridges Hospice for their kindness to Mabel.
Private services by THE RUSIEWICZ FAMILY OF FUNERAL DIRECTORS, ARNOLD & LOWER BURRELL. Entombment was in Greenwood Mausoleum, Lower Burrell. Memorial donations may be made to the Lower Burrell Meals on Wheels, Puckety UP Church, 1009 Puckety Church Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068.
