JAMMU, Sept 24: BJP Jammu and Kashmir president, Sat Sharma CA, along with Jammu East MLA, Yudhvir Sethi, today inaugurated a free medical check-up, medicine distribution, and eye-testing camp at Ward Number 17 under Jammu East Assembly constituency.
The initiative was organized by former JMC councillors, Suneet Raina and Nidhi Magotra and witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, including students from the nearby Shree Institute, who availed themselves of eye check-ups and medical consultations.
The camp was also attended by J&K BJP general secretary, Sanjita Dogra, district president, Rajesh Gupta, Mandal president. Swati Sharma, Raman Sharma, Brahamjyot Satti, Ayodhya Gupta, Jeet Angral, Naveen Sharma, Dinesh Gupta, Parveen Kerni, Jaideep Sambyal, Asha Gupta, Ravikant, and several other party functionaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma emphasized that the BJP as a political party does not believe in ruling over people but in serving them with dedication and compassion. He stressed that the motive of BJP has always been to extend a helping hand to the needy and to provide services to those who are in dire need of care and assistance. He said that under the ongoing Seva Pakhwada marking the 75th birthday of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, BJP is reinforcing the spirit of service by reaching out to every section of society. He further said that such health and welfare camps are a reflection of BJP's commitment to stand with the people at all times.
Yudhvir Sethi, while appreciating the efforts of the organizers, said that medical camps of this kind play a vital role in community well-being. He stressed that these initiatives must be organized on a regular basis so that healthcare becomes accessible to every household. He said that during this Seva Pakhwada, we are laying special emphasis on activities that directly benefit the public. He said that public participation is equally important, as it is the duty of every individual to contribute towards society's upliftment. Together, we can create a healthier and more responsible community, he said.
The organizers Suneet Raina and Nidhi Magotra also announced that a follow-up camp will be held after 15 days to ensure continuity of care for the beneficiaries.
