Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway, 58, filmed herself in her car after dropping her children, Darcey Draper, 19, and William Draper, 16, off at sixth form following a long summer holiday. But Kate admitted how hard she found it seeing them start a new chapter as she referenced her late husband Derek Draper, who had shared school drop-offs in the past before his tragic death in 2024.

Sitting in the driving seat, Kate began: "What is it about kids? They never change, do they? They just manage to break your heart in a million different ways. I've sat here with a flash - or a cup - of tea with Derek on their first day of school, going to secondary and waiting outside for GCSE results as you are not allowed to go in with them to collect those.
