Dayglo Abortions members Murray "The Cretin" Acton and Matt Fiorito, via Ashland County Sheriff's Office
Two members of the longstanding Canadian punk band Dayglo Abortions were arrested in Ohio on Saturday (August 30th) in the midst of a US tour. However, the police records do not currently list the reason for the arrests.
The mugshots of frontman Murray "The Cretin" Acton and guitarist Matt Fiorito have been posted on records found on the Ashland County Sheriff's Office website, with the note "Additional Hold for Ashland County Sheriff's Office; Arrest Date 08/30/2025."

Canada's CTV News spoke with Mat Fiorito's father, Joe Fiorito, who said, ""I'm hoping he's OK and that the tour can continue. They were on a massive cross-county tour across the States, it was a big breakthrough for the band."
Dayglo Abortions have been around since 1979, with Acton as one of its founding members. Fiorito joined the band in 2015.
The band kicked off the extensive US tour back on July 17th in Houston, and it was scheduled to run through a September 14th gig in Charleston, South Carolina. It appears the arrest happened after their Cleveland show on Friday (August 29th), and before their Dayton gig on Saturday (August 30th).
