It's why when Ben Shelton attended his post-match press conference at the US Open -- after defeating Spain's Pablo Carreño Busta -- the 22-year-old was greeted by the face of his girlfriend Trinity Rodman, who used the opportunity to roast her boyfriend.

"So," Trinity began, having been given the conference's last question, "how did it feel not being able to serve faster than 135 today?"

Upon seeing his girlfriend, Ben laughed, putting his face in his hands. He turned to an offscreen companion and asked, "Why'd you give her a question?"

Undeterred, Trinity continued, "I just know you like to serve big, and it wasn't breaking 140 today."

Leaning into the bit, Ben -- whose on-court repertoire does indeed boast a powerful serve, with his fastest clocked at 150 miles per hour -- put on a serious face and answered the question posed by the soccer star.
