There are younger brothers -- and little brothers. And little Toby, a chi/doxie mix, currently 22 lbs, having an older canine sibling would be delightful. A family that likes to go out of doors? Why, that would be grand. According to volunteers at Broken Tail Rescue, "For nearly a year, he never left his elderly owner's apartment -- so now, he's on a mission to rediscover the great outdoors (one cautious step at a time)."
He's a little new to this "exercise-thing," but he gets along with other dogs, and is crate-trained. He's very cuddly, and with his black coat, speckled toes and "cream filling" is adorable to behold.
His foster family, in Groton, MA, are working to reduce his "extra fluff" (see note about weight), but he's ready to live a good life, and keeps his cool during anxious situations (such as the trip to the vet). Toby is in good health and would love an individual or family to "help him on his journey from couch potato to adventure buddy!"
