The driver of the Kia turned left, pulling in front of a Honda Pilot traveling westbound, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report. The Kia was hit by the Honda. Spalding was pinned for approximately 20 minutes before being extricated by the Hugo Fire Department, according to the report. She was transported to a Hugo hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Kia was also transported to a hospital with leg injuries. He was in stable condition, according to OHP.The Honda was carrying four people, and two of whom were children. All four were taken to hospitals in stable condition. It wasn't clear if everyone was wearing their seat belts, according to OHP. The conditions of the drivers were apparently normal, according to the report. The Kia was hit by the Honda. Spalding was pinned for approximately 20 minutes before being extricated by the Hugo Fire Department, according to the report.
