Three weather systems affecting the country - including Severe Tropical Storm Tino - will bring stormy weather to parts of Visayas and Mindanao as well as cloudy skies, rains, and thunderstorms to other parts of the Philippines on Monday, the state weather bureau said.
In its 24-hour public weather forecast as of 4 a.m. of Nov. 3, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said three weather systems are affecting the country - Tino, the shearline affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon, and the northeast monsoon affecting the rest of Northern Luzon.
Signal No. 2 is hoisted over 11 areas in the Visayas and Mindanao as Tino continues to intensify.
Stormy weather is expected over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur with possible flashfloods or landslides as a result of Tino.
The rest of Visayas, the rest of Caraga, and Sorsogon will experience rains with gusty winds, also as a result of the severe tropical storm, while the rest of Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of Tino.
Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms as an effect of the shear line.
Cloudy skies and rains are expected over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley due to the northeast monsoon.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as a result of localized thunderstorms.
Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
Palawan, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal conditions.
