High school football live Week 10: Evans-Oviedo, West Orange-Ocoee are title games

The final Friday night for district football games promises to deliver some drama.

We have reporters providing live updates on key games as they unfold (below) and will be looking for news from other contests. Check back frequently to see the live updates.

All games are scheduled for 7 p.m. kickoffs unless noted otherwise.

Winner-take-all for the Class 6A District 4 title for the second year in a row. Oviedo won 30-20 at Evans last year.

Evans has won seven straight since losing its opener to West Orange and is No. 8 in the FHSAA 6A power rankings. Oviedo is No. 18.

The winner of "The Shield" rivalry game claims the 7A District 5 championship.

West Orange edged the Knights 21-14 to clinch the district crown last season and lead the series 15-7.

These teams from opposite sides of Orange County have dominated the OCPS independent division. Windermere has averaged 52.1 points per game and allowed only 12 points all season. Innovation, in only its second year, has averaged 39.6 points and surrendered only 49. The Bulls only close game was a 10-3 win against Leesburg (5-3).

The Wolverines rolled to a 40-6 win last season -- but that was against an Innovation team that had no seniors.

Week 10 Football Preview: West Orange-Ocoee, Evans-Oviedo to settle districts

The Tigers, No. 3 in 4A, have won four in a row since their close losses to Edgewater and Evans.

Boone has climbed to third in the FHSAA 7A power rankings.

No. 6 DeLand (7-0, 1-0) at Orange City University (1-7, 0-2)

The Titans scored their first against DeLand in eight tries last season, 55-35. But the Buldogs, ranked No. 2 in 7A, are big favorites this time.

Celebration (1-7, 0-2) at No. 7 Dr. Phillips (6-2, 2-0)

The Panthers have already wrapped up the 7A District 5 title.

The Hun School of New Jersey (6-3) at No. 8 The First Academy (4-4)

TFA plays another powerhouse while a potential lawsuit hangs over its ban from the state playoffs.

Lake Wales (6-2) at No. 9 Osceola (6-2)

Two playoff bound teams tune up. Osceola is No. 12 in 6A. The Highlanders are No. 10 in 4A.

They meet for the first time since the Kowboys won 22-13 in 2005.

No. 11 Lake Mary (5-3. 2-0) at No. 14 Lake Brantley (6-2, 0-2)

Lake Mary won 35-2 in 2023 and 52-12 last season. But Brantley leads the rivalry, 24-19.

Hagerty (5-3, 1-1) at No. 12 Seminole (4-4, 1-1)

The winner sews up the 7A District 3 runner-up spot behind Lake Mary.

Winter Park has won three in a row and leads the series 12-8.

St. Cloud won 29-8 last year and leads the rivalry 11-9. They've played every year since 2005.
