Taylor Sheridan's 92% Rotten Tomatoes Masterpiece Just Unexpectedly Switched Streamers

Taylor Sheridan's new action movie continues to pick up steam as it recently announced a star-studded ensemble cast, but before F.A.S.T. arrives in theaters, another of Sheridan's projects has just switched up its streaming home. Sheridan's first ever writing project came in 2015 on Sicario, the hit crime thriller starring Emily Blunt and Josh Brolin. Sicario, which follows an FBI agent tasked with deescalating a brewing drug war between the U.S. and Mexico, had previously been streaming on Netflix for the last few months. But the film has since switched up and is now streaming on Peacock as of September 1.

Sicario was an instant hit among both critics and fans upon its release. The film currently sits at a Certified Fresh 92% from critics and an 85% from general audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. Sicario's excellent reception also helped the film find success at the box office. It grossed $84 million against a modest $30 million budget, making it a solid financial hit for Lionsgate. Jon Bernthal (The Punisher), Benicio del Toro (The Phoenician Scheme), and Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) can also be seen in Sicario, but only del Toro returned for the 2018 sequel, Day of the Soldado.

After Sheridan made his writing debut in 2015 on Sicario, he followed it with Hell or High Water in 2016. The neo-Western stars Chris Pine and Jeff Bridges, and it's the highest-rated movie of Sheridan's career, with a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. The next year, Sheridan wrote the script for Wind River, another Western starring Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen. His most recent movie came out in 2021 on Those Who Wish Me Dead, which stars Angelina Jolie and Nicholas Hoult.

Where Are Taylor Sheridan's Shows Streaming?

The lion's share of Taylor Sheridan's shows - 1923, 1883, Lioness, Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, and Landman - are all streaming on Paramount+. Sheridan has an exclusive deal with the streamer, which airs all of his new and returning series. However, what many would call Sheridan's most popular show, Yellowstone, is streaming exclusively on Peacock in America. Sheridan's deal with Paramount runs through 2028, so fans can expect his shows to stay on Paramount+ for at least the next few years. Once it's up, though, there will certainly be some big dollars thrown around to see who gets the rights to streaming his large library of shows.

Be sure to watch Sicario on Peacock and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates and coverage of Sheridan's future projects.
