HORTONVILLE - The Papermakers scored four runs in the first inning, one in the second, one in the fourth and four in the sixth to earn the Fox Valley Association win.

Hortonville scored single runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

Kimberly was led by Sophie Hermus, who was 3-for-5 with three doubles; Nevaeh Honick, who was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs; Addie Parish, who was 2-for-3; and Paige Wyngaard, who was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Isabella Ellestad picked up the win, pitching five innings and allowing one unearned run on one hit with four walks and six strikeouts.

Leah Heraly doubled and drove in a run to lead the Polar Bears.

The win moves Kimberly to 14-8 overall and 12-5 in the FVA, while Hortonville falls to 12-11 and 8-8.

Fox Valley Lutheran 4, Xavier 3

APPLETON - Madison Babcock was dominant in the circle, as the pitcher rang up 10 strikeouts in Fox Valley Lutheran's nonconference win over the Hawks. Babcock gave up two hits and three runs over seven innings while walking one.

FVL trailed 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning when Andi Bierman singled, scoring two runs to provide the winning margin.

The Foxes got on the board in the first inning after Nora Probst singled, scoring two runs.

An error gave Xavier the lead at 3-2 in the bottom of the third.

Morgan Staszak took the loss for Xavier, pitching five innings, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out one and walking two. Addison Hervey led things off in the circle for the Hawks, surrendering five hits and two runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two.

Fox Valley Lutheran finished with 10 hits and was led by Claire Pfrang and Probst, each with two hits. Probst and Bierman each drove in two runs.

Kalia Stammer provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led Xavier with two RBIs.

NEW LONDON - The Bulldogs blanked the Hornets in the regional quarterfinal to advance to the next round of the tournament.

New London, which is seeded seventh and has a record of 9-11, will face second-seeded Medford on Tuesday.

Notre Dame 13, Little Chute 5

GREEN BAY - The Tritons, who are seeded seventh, defeated the 10th-seeded Mustangs.

Notre Dame will face second-seeded Luxemburg-Casco in the regional semifinal.

Little Chute finishes its season with a record of 2-19.

Waupaca 4, Rhinelander 2

WAUPACA - The Comets doubled up on the Hodags to advance to the regional semifinals.

The victory gives Waupaca a 4-21 record.

The Comets will face top-seeded Mosinee on Tuesday.

WRIGHTSTOWN - The Tigers advanced with the three-inning win over the Crusaders.

Wrightstown, which is seeded seventh, will play second-seeded Valders in a regional semifinal Tuesday.

FOX CROSSING - The Zephyrs scored four runs in the first inning and five in the second to cruise to the five-inning win and advance to Tuesday's regional semifinal.

Emily Vogel had two hits, including an inside-the-park home run, two RBIs and scored three runs for SMC. Scarlett Reichenbacher added two hits, while Sammi Weiss had two RBIs and scored three runs.

Gabby Guerrero pitched five innings for SMC (5-15 overall). She gave up five hits, one earned run and struck out eight.

Megan Gallant had two hits and an RBI for Gibraltar/Washington Island.

HORTONVILLE - Braylon Brantner shut down the Cardinals on one earned run on four hits with two walks and six strikeouts to lead the Polar Bears to the Fox Valley Association win.

Hortonville grabbed a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the sixth on RBI hits by Rashaud Kastner and Gary Wuest.

Hudson Burg doubled in a run in the top of the seventh for Fond du Lac. Keyton Killian added two hits for the Cardinals.

The win moves the Polar Bears to 12-3 in the FVA and 17-4 overall, while the Cardinals fall to 11-9 and 6-8.

Menasha 3, Xavier 0

APPLETON - Jacob Coopman struck out 14 batters as the Bluejays blanked the Hawks at Don Hawkins Field in a Bay Conference matchup. Coopman surrendered one hit and zero runs over 6⅔ innings while walking two.

Menasha opened the scoring in the first when Coopman homered to right field, scoring two runs.

A single by Trevor DeBriyn extended the Menasha lead to 3-0 in the top of the second inning.

Gavin Wiese took the loss for Xavier, pitching seven innings, giving up three runs on four hits while striking out one and walking two.

DeBriyn, Menasha's lead-off hitter, had two hits in two at-bats.

Kyler Bleck led Xavier with one hit in three at-bats.

Wrightstown 7, Little Chute 4

WRIGHTSTOWN - Aiden Humphreys hit a grand-slam walk-off home run to give the Tigers the win over the Mustangs and a share of the conference title.

After Little Chute took a 4-2 lead in its half of the 10th inning, Rogan Thompson, who was making his first varsity start of the year after playing JV all season, opened the inning with a double.

After a flyball out, Ryan Leahy walked, Bennett Stengel singled to load the bases, Trevor Vande Hey walked to force in a run and then Humphreys had his game-winning home run.

Little Chute was led by Dane Kruckeberg with three hits, including a double. Brock Gardner had two hits and two RBIs, while Reece Joten had two hits.

Vande Hey pitched two-thirds of an inning to get the win for Wrightstown (16-5, 14-2).

FREEDOM - The Marines used a big fourth inning to pull away in Game 1, but the Irish returned the favor in the nightcap, scoring nine times in the first to hold on for the North Eastern Conference split.

In the opener, Chase MacGregor was 2-for-3, while Wyatt Stauss and Justin Kruse added two RBIs each to lead Marinette.

Kruse picked up the win on the mound, pitching seven innings and allowing five hits and two earned runs with one walk and seven strikeouts.

In the nightcap, the Irish took advantage of eight walks and four errors while mustering just three hits.

Marinette had taken a 3-0 lead in the top of the first before Freedom answered with nine runs in the first and one in the third. The Marines closed out the scoring with three in the fifth.

Ethan Doubek was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, while MacGregor homered twice for the Marines.

Parker Jochimsen was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Carson Peters added two RBIs for the Irish.

Shiocton 14, Menominee Nation 1

KESHENA - The Chiefs scored early and often en route to the Central Wisconsin Conference-East win.

Shiocton scored two runs in the first, six in the second, one in the third, three in the fourth and two in the fifth.

The Eagles scored their lone run in the second.

Cody Young had the hot bat for the Chiefs, going 4-for-4 with four runs scored, while Jackson Young, Isaiah Carton, Braylon Krull, Henry Garvey and Hunter Heinemeyer had two hits each.

Carton earned the win, pitching four innings and allowing two hits, one unearned run and two walks with five strikeouts.

With the win, Shiocton moves to 9-10 overall and 6-8 in the CWC-East, while Menominee Nation falls to 3-16 overall and 1-13 in the conference.

APPLETON - Brooke Schuh scored for the Lightning in the victory over the Terrors.

APPLETON - The Papermakers spread the wealth with eight players scoring goals in the win over the Patriots.

Lily Werner, Emery Van Abel, Lindsey Owens, Marie Van Zeeland, Katie Owens, Skyler Brey, Brenna Wilson and Vada Sousek each scored goals.

Lindsey Owens, Emily Urban, Wilson and Vivian Van Abel each had an assist.

Bee Brockert was in goal for Kimberly but did not record any saves.

Luxemburg-Casco 1, St. Mary Catholic 0

FOX CROSSING - Emi Kuhn scored unassisted in the fifth minute and the match stayed that way the rest of the way as the Spartans earned the nonconference win.

Teagan Gunderson made three saves in net for Luxemburg-Casco, while Bethany Ruppert had 11 saves for St. Mary Catholic.

Green Bay East 3, New London 0

GREEN BAY - Cynthia Coronado Delgadillo, Najma Salad and Sherlyn Grijalva each scored goals in the Red Devils' win over the Bulldogs.

Grijalva also had an assist.

Jamaya Mariner was in goal and did not record any saves.

WINNECONNE - The Winneconne boys won the team title with 170 points, while Kettle Moraine Lutheran won the girls team title with 145 points.
