Crisp fans have been divided over a new limited edition Doritos flavour spotted in Home Bargains.

The unique flavour aims to 'blur the lines between sweet and savoury snacking', according to PepsiCo.

While some were eager to try it, others were left 'gagging at the thought'.

Sharing the find on the New Foods UK Facebook page, the shopper said: "Limited Edition Gingerbread Doritos spotted at Home Bargains."

One eager snacker wrote: "Might get some tonight."

Another, who had already tried them, said: "Strangely works, unlike other sweet crisps I've tried in the past."

The Mirror reports that a similar comment read: "They're delicious."

Not everyone was convinced though, one reply read: "Mmmm, love Doritos, love gingerbread but gagging at the thought of them together."

A similar comment read: "There's a line to not cross and they've crossed it with this."

Someone else declared: "They are awful, had them already."

Others were a little unsure, including a commenter who said: "Doritos are my favourite crisp.

"And I love gingerbread... but I don't know if I like the sound of them together.

"Although, M&S do cinnamon ones which are delicious! So these might just be OK."
