Hundreds of spectators braved chilly and rainy Saturday weather to cheer on the cowboys, and the bulls, at the seventh annual Halls Electric Bucking Battle & Bash.
Diamond W. Bucking Bulls team of Fayetteville, Arkansas, won Friday night's event, while The Triple C. Bucking Bulls team of Buffalo, Missouri, emerged as winners Saturday.
The Halls Electric Bucking Battle & Bash Bullrider Champion went to Jean Carlos from Brazil.
The event was first held at a sale barn seven years ago and it has grown so fast that the D&N Event Center was just a great venue for the event, the Ultimate Bullriding Tour event producer Kandace Andrews said.
On the Ultimate Bullriding Tour bull teams are competing alongside the cowboys which makes the tour unique, Andrews said.
Cowboys and bulls came from across the U.S., including from Texas and Montana for the two-day North Platte event, Andrews added.

"We have world class champions that come to the event," Andrews said. "And it's pretty cool for North Platte to experience their great performances."
All the riders are competing for a $30,000 prize.
On Saturday morning, there was a competition for young, promising bucking bulls.
"When the cattle are young, they are too small for people to ride on," Andrews said. "So, we use a weighted box that sits on their back and teaches them how to buck.
"When the cattle are big enough that's when riders compete on them," she said.
More than 80 bulls and steers were a part of the event, as well as 45 riders each night.
Andrews said they try to make the event a two-hour event, though sometimes shorter.
"We are very grateful for our sponsors," she said. "They have supported us throughout the years and they are the reason the event is as successful as it is."
In June, the tour will be in Rapid City, South Dakota, and July 29 in Sterling, Colorado.
