The Cleveland Browns have a large selection of quarterbacks at their disposal to be their eventual Week 1 starter. They acquired Kenny Pickett in March via trade, brought back Joe Flacco, and drafted Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. But how will they get a good grip on who their starter will be? Head coach Kevin Stefanski gave some insight into what the process will look like.
"It's not going to be like everybody gets 25% of the reps, that's not how it's gonna be,"
Considering that Mary Kay Cabot recently reported that Kenny Pickett was penciled in as the early favorite to start with Dillon Gabirel taking second-team reps, this could mean Sanders isn't going to get a ton of reps to earn that starting role - at least not right away. Should Pickett and Gabriel struggle once the regular season gets here, that could lead to loud calls from fans to start Sanders. Until then, though, the rookie form Colorado will be fighting an uphill battle.
