LAHORE - Punjab Police deported 21,805 illegally residing foreign nationals, including Afghans, from across the province under an ongoing operation that has now entered its third phase. According to a police spokesperson, 123 individuals are currently present at various holding points, with five centers operating in Lahore and 46 across Punjab. The repatriation drive continues in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure a systematic and lawful process. Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar said that the evacuation of all illegally residing individuals is being carried out under strict security protocols. He emphasised that the Punjab Police are implementing the repatriation policy in accordance with international laws, while ensuring that human rights and humanitarian principles are fully respected during the process.
