The World Aerobatic Championship is headed to Batavia in 2026 after its planning team chose the Genesee County Airport as the site for the championship.

The planning team consists of Shad Coulson, Rob Holland, John Smutny, Pete Zeliff, Doreen Hillard-Zeliff, Jennifer Vukovic and Monique Hartmann selected the airport.
