6 pets at RSPCA Dorset who are searching for loving new homes

6 pets at RSPCA Dorset who are searching for loving new homes

If you're looking to adopt a pet, then plenty of dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and more are hoping to find new homes in some of Dorset's RSPCA branches.

Rehoming a pet can be a great way to restore its confidence after potentially difficult circumstances.

A few animals from Ashley Heath and West Dorset RSPCA are listed below, but more can be found on the centre's websites.

To help the Ashley Heath Animal Centre and West Dorset RSPCA carry on their work, you can donate to their websites here and here.

Hope and Luna are described as an "energetic" pair of sisters who are looking to find a home together.

Luna is slightly uncomfortable around dogs she does not know, while Hope is more relaxed.

As a result, Luna will need some further training so she doesn't bark at other dogs on sight.

The pair came into the RSPCA after being abandoned, so they will need some company around most of the time to help them adjust to home life again.

Hope and Luna could live in a home with children over the age of eight and would love a garden to run about in.

Oreo is a "sweet-natured" cat who came into the care of the RSPCA with her three kittens.

She enjoys spending time with people and loves to snuggle in her comfy bed.

Oreo could live with children of primary school age who are gentle and calm around cats.

The RSPCA adds: "This young lady has had the tip of her tail amputated during her stay at the centre. This isn't expected to affect her daily life."

Buzz came into the care of the RSPCA as an injured stray and is looking to find his forever home.

He is quite a friendly boy who loves a bit of fuss and is very good with people.

The RSPCA adds: "Buzz also enjoys relaxing in the sun, watching the world go by and getting groomed by cattery staff and volunteers."

He could live with children who are calm and gentle around cats, but would need to be the only cat in the home.

Honey is an "excitable, bubbly and affectionate" dog who thrives on human companionship.

She arrived in the care of the RSPCA after being abandoned for a length of time in a squalid property.

Honey loves playing with toys and is looking for a family who can match her energy and love for fun.

The RSPCA adds: "We're looking for a family with older, dog-savvy teenagers 16 years+ who understand the importance of giving her space and have had experience/understanding of energetic bull breeds."

Iris is a rabbit who is happy to have some fuss on her terms, but needs a family that will be patient with her.

She can be quite protective of her enclosure and does like to have her own space.

Iris enjoys her food and veggie time alongside playing with her football.

The RSPCA adds: "We are looking for her to be housed with a male companion, any bonding will need to be done very slowly and separate accommodation will be required initially."
