Chennai is set to transform its public transport system with the launch of 'Chennai One', the nation's first integrated ticketing mobile app. Slated for unveiling by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, this innovation aims to streamline commuting across the city.
According to the Chennai Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (CUMTA), 'Chennai One' will consolidate Metro, MTC buses, and Namma Yatri autos into a single platform. MRTS and suburban trains will join this system soon, enhancing convenience for commuters.
The app promises to eliminate the hassle of long queues and confusion, offering Chennaiites a seamless journey using just one QR-based ticket. Available on both iOS and Android, 'Chennai One' is described as the future of travel within the city.
