(WLUK) -- A pair of pigeons caused quite a ruckus on a flight heading to Wisconsin over Memorial Day weekend.
Video captured by passengers on board Delta Air Lines Flight 2348 shows the two stowaway birds flying around the plane ahead of takeoff Saturday night.
The flight contained 119 passengers and five crew members. It was en route from Minneapolis' Saint Paul International Airport to the Dane County Regional Airport in Madison.
According to CNN, a passenger told a flight attendant she thought a pigeon was on the plane. Shortly after, another passenger, Tom Caw, said he heard a commotion and baggage handlers were called to remove the bird.
Caw said the pilot then got on the intercom to tell everyone "there's a wildlife situation on this plane."
Then, after the plane left the gate and prepared for takeoff, another pigeon appeared on board.
"I don't know exactly what to say. It is wild," the pilot said over the intercom. "I told the tower control while we were taxiing back about the pigeon, and he said. 'Well, that's a first for me' and I said, 'Well, that's a second for me. The first one was about a half hour ago.'"
Caw said someone tried to grab the bird, but it went flying. "It was strutting up the aisle. It was flying back and forth in the cabin," he said.
Video submitted to WMTV 15 by passenger Anna Trull showed people clapping and thanking a baggage handler who safely removed the second pigeon.
CNN says the flight arrived in Madison 56 minutes later than scheduled.
In a statement to CNN, Delta said it, "appreciates the careful actions of our people and our customers to safely remove two birds from the aircraft prior to departure. We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel."
