Bhubaneswar: The opposition Congress on Thursday brought a No Confidence Motion against the BJP-led Odisha government in the Assembly.
A senior Congress leader said that the motion was submitted to the Speaker through the Assembly Secretary.
The motion was submitted to the Speaker via the Assembly Secretary, backed by 15 legislators including 14 from Congress and one from the Communist Party of India (Marxist).
The Congress accused the state government of failing to address critical issues, including women's safety, law and order, and challenges faced by farmers, Dalits, tribals, and OBCs. The party criticized the BJP government for relying on empty rhetoric and failing to meet public expectations.
