ESPN's College GameDay Announces Special Concert For Saturday's Show

This Saturday's edition of ESPN's "College GameDay" is going to feature a special treat for fans down in Athens.

As the "GameDay" bus gasses up and heads for Sanford Stadium, the show dropped an exciting announcement for its pregame show for No. 9 Georgia vs. No. 5 Ole Miss -- an SEC matchup that could go a long way in determining the success of each team's season.

The Rebels come into Georgia 7.5-point underdogs despite being ranked higher in every CFB poll. And while UGA is hostile territory for every opponent that makes the trip down to its campus, Dawgs fans may be in a better mood thanks to this weekend's live performance.

Taking to social media on Wednesday, ESPN revealed that this weekend's program will feature a live concert from country music stars Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs.

"WE'RE SO READY FOR THIS! 🤩" the "GameDay" X account said. "@baileyzimmerman

and @lukecombs are performing live on College GameDay this Saturday! Join us in Athens on Myers Quad 📍"

Adding, "Stick around after the show if you're in Athens to hear @baileyzimmerman perform two additional songs 👏"

As Ole Miss prepares to take on the Dawgs between the hedges, Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin had some high praise for Georgia's Kirby Smart. Calling him the "best coach in college football."

"I think in five years, in the regular season, they've only lost to Alabama and then in our game here last year ... so it's a very challenging team to always play, especially there," Kiffin explained.

"So we're going to have to have a great week of preparation and prepare to go on the road in a very tough environment with elite players and a phenomenal coaching staff, led by Kirby [Smart] and what he's been able to do."

"I said yesterday in the call [with SEC media] when asked that he finds a way to win a lot of games in a lot of different styles and overcome a lot of adversity in games and keep his team together. That's why he's the best coach in college football now."

Ole Miss certainly has its work cut out for it on Saturday but it's not impossible that they pull off the "upset."

Just last year, Kiffin's Rebs beat the Bulldogs 28-10 to move to 8-2 on the season before a disappointing loss to Florida the following week.
