The Korn Ferry Tour Finals have made their way to the Patriot Golf Club in Owasso.

Numerous local college products are fighting to finish inside the top 20 of the points list in a couple of weeks in order to earn their PGA Tour card.

The question is, who would get off to a good start at the Compliance Solutions Championship, which is the second-to-last event?

Third-year Korn Ferry Tour member Davis Chatfield stole the show in the opening round, firing a 12-under 59 to break the Patriot Golf Club course record. He also became the 16th player in Korn Ferry Tour history to record a sub-60 round. Chatfield is the leader at 12-under par.

As for the local products, former OSU Cowboy Zach Bauchou is in the best shape in terms of earning a PGA Tour card. Bauchou entered the week eighth in the points standings. He dropped a spot in the live projections after shooting 5-under in the opening round. Still extremely safe, Bauchou is tied for 39th after the first round.

There are few guys that need good weeks in order to try and sneak inside the top 20. Former OU Sooner Blaine Hale Jr. shot best among our local products in the opening round. Hale Jr. is tied for 10th after firing an 8-under 63. He now sits at number 47 on the points list, so he has more work to do.

Former OSU Cowboy Kevin Dougherty is fighting to get inside the 20. Dougherty shot a 6-under 65 and is tied for 24th. He will need to go lower on Friday after dropping a spot to 33 on the points list.

OU Sooner Logan McAllister entered the week just outside the top 20 of the points list at 25. McAllister shot a 4-under 67 and sits tied for 51st. He slipped down to 27 on the live projected points, so McAllister will need a lower second round.

Upon conclusion of this week's Compliance Solutions Championship, the top 75 players on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List will qualify for the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance, the last of four season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Finals events.
