Apple today revealed the iPhone 17 models, unveiling a bold redesign that pushes performance and creativity to new levels.
The iPhone 17 comes with the new Center Stage front camera that takes selfies to the next level; a powerful 48MP Fusion Main camera with an optical-quality 2x Telephoto; and a new 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera that captures expansive scenes and macro photography in more detail.
The 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion is bigger and brighter, enabling supersmooth scrolling, immersive gaming, and improved efficiency. And with the new Ceramic Shield 2, the front cover is tougher than any smartphone glass or glass-ceramic, with 3x better scratch resistance than the previous generation and reduced glare.
Price & Availability:
iPhone 17 will now be available starting with 256GB of storage, double the entry storage from the previous generation, and a 512GB option, in five beautiful colors: black, lavender, mist blue, sage, and white. Pre-orders begin Friday, September 12, with availability beginning Friday, 19 September 19.
iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max:
The Pro and Pro Max models also come powered by the A19 Pro chip, Apple's most advanced processor to date, both models deliver faster performance, cutting-edge mobile gaming, and seamless integration of Apple Intelligence, all while offering the best battery life ever on iPhone.
Crafted with a laser-welded aluminum unibody and an Apple-designed vapor chamber for improved thermal performance, the iPhone 17 Pro series represents Apple's strongest and most efficient design yet. Both models feature Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and, for the first time, the back -- offering triple the scratch resistance of previous models.
Photography and video take center stage with three advanced 48MP Fusion cameras, Main, Ultra Wide, and a new Telephoto lens. Users now have the equivalent of eight pro lenses in their pocket, with the Telephoto offering up to 8x optical zoom, the longest in iPhone history. The new 18MP Center Stage front camera introduces a square sensor design with AI-powered framing, ultra-stabilized 4K HDR video, and Dual Capture, allowing creators to record from both front and rear cameras simultaneously.
For those who enjoy shooting and creating on iPhone, the Pro model delivers professional-grade features including ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, and genlock support, further cementing iPhone's role in creative production.
