Sophomore Charlotte Yarnall dialed up four innings of one-hit ball and racked up four RBI at the dish to help two-seed Summit roll to a 15-0 victory over 15-seed Mendham during the first round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 3 Tournament.

Yarnall had eight strikeouts in the circle and barrelled up a double and a home run at the dish in the win.

Caroline Putnam led the Hilltoppers with three hits at the plate and had three RBI.

Kate Shin also knocked in three runs to help Summit score 15 runs in a game for the second time this season.

Elease Belenets reached base twice in the contest for Mendham (2-14).

Summit (18-8) will host seven-seed Cranford in the quarterfinals.
