Videos from inside an Andhra Pradesh theatre have gone viral
Over the years, Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu has garnered a huge fanbase in the country with his charming onscreen presence. His much-loved 2010 film Khalej was re-released in theatres on Friday, May 30, leaving his fans over the moon. Many are rushing to the theatres to rewatch the film on the big screen again. Photos and videos from the screening are going viral on all social media platforms.
In one such video, shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by a netizen, a fan is seen entering a theatre in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, holding a real-life snake so that he could recreate a scene from the film. In the scene, the 49-year-old actor's character walks in a desert holding a fake snake and then throws it at the enemy. While earlier the moviegoers assumed that the snake was fake, however, chaos erupted on social media after the snake started moving.

Sharing a video of the incident, as well as a few others where fans are celebrating the movie screening by throwing confetti, the netizen wrote, "Actor #MaheshBabu mass fans, celebrates the #KhalejaReRelease in Telugu States, by throwing paper cuttings in theatres. A crazy Mahesh Babu fan took fandom to a wild level on #Khalej4K re-release. In a viral video a crazy fan was holding a snake inside the fully packed theatre, for recreating the film's scene. "Khaleja" movie has become the biggest re-release in Telugu cinema history."
For those who don't know, Khaleja was directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The action-comedy was produced by C. Ashwini Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. It starred Mahesh Babu, Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Shafi, Sunil, Ali, and Subbaraju in pivotal roles.

On the work front, last seen in Guntur Kaaram alongside Sreeleela, the actor will be next seen in SS Rajamouli directorial SSMB29. Penned by the director's father, Vijayendra Prasad, the movie is said to also star Priyanka Chopra in a lead role. The makers are yet to officially announce more about the details of the film.
