On Wednesday at 4:21 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a high wind warning valid from 1 p.m. until Thursday 4 a.m. for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast.
The weather service says, "South winds 40 to 55 mph with gusts up to 70 mph expected."
"Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles," explains the weather service. "Monitor the latest forecasts for updates and possible warnings."
