ALEXANDRIA -- On the same night that Alexandria presented state championship rings to its 2024 baseball and girls' golf teams, the Valley Cubs boys' basketball team played what head coach Will Ginn called "probably our best overall game" of the season.

Alexandria buckled down on defense Monday night on its way to a 75-49 win over rival Jacksonville.
