Pizza giant Domino's is opening a third outlet in Inverness.
Signs for the major chain have been erected at a site in Henderson Road, confirming the company's intentions.
Despite a planning application for a new pizza takeaway at the site being approved earlier this year, the chain has repeatedly refused to comment on its plans - despite them being all but an open secret.
But the recent erection of signage has finally confirmed their intentions - even though it is not yet clear when it will open its doors.
The unit in question, at 2 Henderson Road, is the former home of Pagazzi Lighting and was most recently occupied by a New Start Highland pop-up shop.
But the building's owner secured planning permission early this year to change the use of the unit and carry out internal and external modifications so it could house up to two hot food takeaways.
And a second application, this time to erect Domino's branded signs on the exterior of the site, was also approved by Highland Council.
Although permission was granted for two takeaways at the unit, it is not clear if a second will be opening or whether the whole site will now be occupied by the pizza chain - as the new "Domino's" sign runs across the full frontage.
The famous chain already operates two outlets in the Highland capital - one in the city centre on Academy Street, and another on Balloan Road near to the Southern Distributor road.
