Hands-Only CPR Class Offered for Seniors
Hands-only CPR, or compression-only CPR, is simple and easy to learn and perform on adults. Many people who survive a cardiac emergency are helped by a bystander. Learn how you can respond safely and effectively on Tuesday, September 2, at 2 pm in the Nevada Room of the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive. Dance Party & Potluck
Dance the night away with live music with Don and Nadine on Saturday, September 6, from 6-9 pm. Admission is $10 per person, and guests are asked to bring a dish to share. Dances are held on the 1st Saturday of each month and are open to all ages. The dance is at the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive, in the Sagebrush Dining Room. RSVP is not necessary. Flu Vaccination Event
Carson City Health and Human Services is offering flu shots for seniors on Tuesday, September 16, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive. Bring your insurance card. If you do not have insurance, you will not be turned away. For uninsured or underinsured individuals, the flu shot is $20.The High Dose vaccine for those 65 and older is available in limited quantities.
