Police seek shooter after West Side gunfire

Madison police are seeking to identify the person who fired multiple gunshots around a group of people on the West Side Saturday night.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 5400 block of Mineral Point Road around 7:50 p.m., police Lt. James Imoehl said in a statement Saturday.

When police arrived, they found multiple people still at the scene, but it did not appear anyone was hit by gunfire, Imoel said.

No suspects have been identified, and police are still investigating.

Police ask that anyone with information on the incident contact them at (608) 255-2345. Tipsters may remain anonymous by contacting Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014 or P3Tips.com.
